2025 CSC Academic All-District Volleyball Teams
GREENWOOD, Ind. (Dec. 16, 2025) – Matching a record-high from a season ago, the North Central College women's volleyball team landed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team as
Lauren Benson reels in the honor for the second straight season, while
Katie Godo,
Sarah Harvey, and
Sarah Lezon are first-time honorees.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a 3.50 or higher grade point average. Transfers are also immediately eligible if they meet the previous criteria. Athletically, nominees must compete in 90 percent of games played or start in at least 66 percent of games played.
North Central's four selections this year bring the program's total honors to 16 accrued by 11 student-athletes.
Benson, a Geneva, Ill. native, picks up the honor for the second consecutive season following a junior campaign that earned her All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) second team honors. The middle blocker ranked second on the team with 65 blocks and totaled the second-most points at 250. She racked up 204 kills and added 14 service aces on the year.
Harvey earns her first All-District nod after compiling a successful season in the classroom and on the court. The sophomore setter from Bolingbrook, Ill. led the conference in assists per set during the regular season (10.29), a mark that helped her to a Second Team All-CCIW nod, while leading the team with a 10.15 assists per set average for the season and 883 total assists. She recorded the second most service aces on the team this season with 41.
Leading in the service ace category for North Central was Godo, a junior from Aurora, Ill., who is also a first-time All-District honoree. Godo compiled 43 service aces on the year for a 0.48 aces per set average. The defensive specialist added 189 digs to her stat line for a 2.12 digs per set average.
A graduate student from Indianapolis, Lezon was a crucial piece of the Cardinal lineup as an opposite hitter. A first-time Academic All-District honoree in a Cardinal uniform, Lezon ranked third on the team in points (230.5) and kills (213) while adding 68 digs and 29.0 blocks on the defensive side of the ball.
