Press Release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 4, 2025)- Adding to his accolade-filled freshman season, Joseph Sargent of the North Central College men's soccer team has been named to the United Soccer Coaches' (USC) All-American Fourth Team. The All-American teams were announced Tuesday at noon.

Sargent, one of two freshmen to make the USC All-American teams, ranks tied for 30th in the country among Division III with 14 goals in 17 games played, which averages to 0.82 goals per game, and 20th in the country. Of the 14 goals, four were game winners, including one in the 1-0 victory over Carthage College in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament Quarterfinal.

Sargent was named the CCIW First Year Student-Athlete of the Year and the CCIW Offensive Player of the Year, a feat that had not been accomplished since the conference began awarding defensive and offensive players of the year individually in 2018. Sargent was also named to the USC Region VIII Regional First Team, announced on Dec. 2.

Sargent is the fourth Cardinal in program history to be named to the USC All-American team and the first since 2022. He is also the sole member of the CCIW to be named to the All-American team in 2025.

North Central finished the 2025 season with a 9-2-8 record and reached the CCIW Tournament Semifinal.
