2025 NFF Hampshire Honor Society Release
2025 Hampshire Honor Society Member List

May 13, 2025 - Adding to the remarkable successes during the 2024 season, the North Central College football team had a record 16 student-athletes named to the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society. This marks the 17th consecutive season that at least one Cardinal has appeared on the list.

A record 2,536 players from 341 schools qualified for NFF Honor Society membership in 2025, marking the largest class in the program's 19-year history. Since its inception, the initiative has honored 20,950 student-athletes.

Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be either senior players who will graduate this spring/summer and have just completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2024, or graduated players who have been out of high school for at least three years. Additionally, student-athletes must have maintained at least an undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 and been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2024 season.

The NFF also released its 16 recipients named as 2024 NFF National Scholar-Athletes. Quarterback Luke Lehnen is the first Cardinal football player to earn the accolade and one of only two NCAA Division III student-athletes in this year's class, joining Robert Coury of Carnegie Mellon University.

Joining Lehnen in the Honor Society are linebacker BJ Adamchik, tight end Bobby Behmer, defensive linemen Martin Egbo and Max Ness, offensive linemen Nick Fehrle, David Fuchs and Jeske Maples, defensive backs Austin Flax, Riley McCurdy, Zack Orr, Eddie Schmid and Will Vernon, wide receivers Trey Madsen and Jacob Paradee, and running back Joe Sacco.

With this year's class, North Central now has 117 NFF Hampshire Honor Society inductees. The Cardinals are one of only two College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin institutions to appear on the list, along with Wheaton College. In total, 45 NCAA Division III schools were represented.

North Central claimed its third national championship in five seasons, defeating the University of Mount Union 41-25. The 2025 CCIW champions finished the season 15-0 for the second time in school history.

The Cardinals open the 2024 season on Sept. 13 as they welcome the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium for a 1 p.m. kickoff. Click HERE to view the entire 2025 schedule.
