NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Sept. 15, 2025) – For the second straight week, North Central College women's volleyball has reeled in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week honors as Sarah Lezon was named Hitter of the Week Monday, Sept. 15 after helping the Cardinals to a 3-0 week.
 
Through three contests and just eight sets, Lezon led the Cardinals with 29 kills, good for an average of 3.63 kills per set while posting a .311 attack percentage. She also contributed five blocks (0.64 blocks per set average), including one solo rejection, and a pair of digs for the week.  
 
Her 14 kills against Rhodes College are a season-best for the graduate student, a performance that capped off a 3-0 week for North Central. The Cardinals swept Aurora and Dominican before taking down Rhodes in four sets. Lezon added nine kills against Aurora and six against Dominican.
 
North Central turns to CCIW play this Wednesday, Sept. 17 as the Cardinals host Carroll University its conference opener. First serve in Gregory Arena is set for 7 p.m.
