Jan. 20, 2026 - For the fourth time this season, a North Central College women's wrestler has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Wrestler of the Week as 160-pound
Elizabeth Rosenstiel posted a perfect 5-0 record on the week to earn the accolade.
Rosenstiel secured a 10-0 technical fall over Lily Avalos in the Cardinals' 45-2 victory over Elmhurst University Thursday night. Over the weekend, the freshman pinned her first three opponents in the Elmhurst Invite before claiming an 8-0 decision over Amerrah Kayon (UW-Stevens Point) to win the 160-pound division.
On the season, Rosenstiel is 23-7, the third-most wins on the North Central squad. She has captured 10 pins, one of just five Cardinals with double-digit pins, along with nine technical falls. North Central won the Invite as Rosenstiel joined six other Cardinals to win their respective weight class.
North Central returns to Elmhurst Sunday for the CCIW Championships, looking to win the conference for the fourth straight season. Last year, the Cardinals' lineup featured eight CCIW Champions, with all 10 wrestling in the championship match of their respective weight class.
