WAUKESHA, Wis. (Feb. 11, 2026) – In a tale of two halves, the North Central College men's basketball team surrendered 48 second-half points to see its 14-game winning streak against Carroll University come to an end, as the Pioneers claimed a 74–54 victory Wednesday night at Van Male Fieldhouse.

Alejandro Diaz scored just 14 seconds into the game to ignite a 9–2 run for the Cardinals. James Bullock Jr. and Tre Davis pushed the lead to double digits, 14–4, before both offenses settled in. Justin Sveiteris and Diaz kept North Central in front midway through the half, and after a Sean Molloy basket, Carroll responded with eight straight points to pull within two.
Ethan Marlowe halted the run with his sixth point of the night, and with 1:14 remaining, Sveiteris knocked down his fourth field goal as the Cardinals carried a 29–26 edge into halftime, shooting 40.63% from the field.

Carroll came out firing after the break, using a 26–4 surge to build a 52–34 advantage with 12:08 to play. Molloy stopped the run with a pair of free throws, and Marlowe reached double figures for the second straight game with a second-chance basket. Davis connected from deep before Barrett Marfell, Jaydon James, Yousef Mateen, Gabe Gonzales and Keagan Faulkner added points down the stretch. The Pioneers outscored North Central 48–25 in the second half to secure a 74–54 win.

Marlowe and Sveiteris paced the Cardinals with 10 points apiece. Diaz and Davis each hit two three-pointers as North Central shot 32.8% from the floor. Lamar Smith led Carroll with 16 points as the Pioneers shot 41%.

North Central concludes its four-game road stretch and returns to Gregory Arena on Saturday for Senior Night. Molloy will be honored as the lone men's basketball senior before the 7:15 p.m. tipoff against Elmhurst University.
