Cardinals Closes Out Undefeated CCIW Slate with Win Over Aurora

AURORA, Ill. (Feb. 5, 2026) - The North Central College women's wrestling team concluded the duals portion of its schedule with a 36–9 win over No. 10 Aurora University on Thursday night, Feb. 5, sealing a 14–2 dual record for the season and capped off another undefeated year in CCIW action (5-0). 

Aurora picked up the first points of the match with a decision win at 103 pounds from sixth-ranked Genesis Ramirez against Bri Graves to go up 3-0 in team scores. 

After being down 2-0 early in the 110 weight class, Eliana Paramo notched the takedown and scored on a turn to take the lead at 6-2. Katelyn Bell managed to score again but Paramo would ultimately claim the 6-4 win by decision.

In the 117 pound weight class, Riley Rayome took a 2-0 lead over Zoee Sadler from the jump. Rayome gained control off of a reset, and quickly worked for the pin at the 1:11 mark. Bella Bolek notched a 10-4 decision over Natasha Markoutsis at 124 pounds to extend North Central's lead to 11-5.

In the 131 pound match, Grace Stem defeated Emma Engels with a pin at 1:25 as the Cardinals score grew to 16-5. Aurora got a match back at 138 pounds with No. 8 Sophia Ball's 6-6 decision win on criteria over Milana Borrelli.

Taylor Miess was awarded the forfeit win at 145 pounds to add five points to North Central's team score. Seventh-ranked Taylor Graveman extended the Cardinals advantage with a pin over Cheya Bishop at 2:20 in the 160 pound match.

 In the 180 weight class, Lizzie Raleigh battled for a 14-3 technical fall win over Anneliese Tavira. At 207 pounds, Dasia Yearby scored a takedown over Hannah McDuffee from the first whistle and converted it to a pin in just 11 seconds of action, her 15th pin of the season, to seal the Cardinals 36-9 victory.

North Central is headed to Rock Island, Ill. for the D3 Quad Cities Invite this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 7-8.
