June 2, 2026 - The North Central College women's golf, lacrosse and wrestling programs have earned six selections to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team. The award, which recognize combined academic and athletic excellence, are nominated and voted upon by CSC members at higher education institutions in the United States and Canada.
To qualify, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. Golf and wrestling nominees must compete in at least 75 percent of team-scored events or wrestle in their weight class at a conference championship. Lacrosse nominees must appear in 90 percent of the team's competitions or start in at least 66 percent of matches.
Graveman won the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin and NCAA Region V Championships at 160 pounds. The psychology and sport management major finished the season with a 21-10 record, including nine technical falls and six pins. Miess tied the program record for single-season pins with 22 and posted a 27-13 record at 138 pounds. The philosophy major was the CCIW runner-up and earned the CCIW Elite 26 Award.
Paramo won the CCIW Championship at 110 pounds and recorded a 22-8 overall mark. The health science major totaled 10 technical falls and seven pins. Sterner, the NCAA third-place finisher at 124 pounds, secured a 28-2 record and set the program record with 51 career pins. The sociology major won the Region V Championship and was North Central's Jack Swartz Award recipient.
Clifton set the program record for lowest career 18-hole average at 82.21. The criminology and sociology major shot a season-best 74 at the Ives Grove Firebird Women's Fall Classic and earned First Team All-CCIW honors in October.
Alis was a First Team All-CCIW selection for the Cardinals. The anthropology major scored 11 goals and added eight assists while leading the team with 46 ground balls and 34 caused turnovers.
Graveman, Miess and Sterner advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with the national winners announced on Tuesday, July 7.
