Biography

2011: First Team All-Conference. CCIW Player of the Year. ITA Central Region Senior Player of the Year. NCAA Division III National Qualifier. Won the ITA Central Region Tournament in September before finishing fifth at the ITA Small College National Championships in October in Mobile, Ala. Opened the spring season by winning 14 straight matches en route to his third consecutive CCIW No. 1 singles crown, finishing the conference slate with a 5-0 mark. Finished the year with a 21-2 mark playing at the No. 1 position, including an 8-2 record against regionally ranked opposition. Made a return appearance to the NCAA Division III Championships, advancing to the round of 16 for the second straight season. In doubles, compiled a 13-3 record at the No. 1 position, earning the CCIW No. 1 doubles title for the third straight season after finishing the conference slate undefeated. Was a two-time CCIW Player of the Week, earning the honor on Apr. 6 and again on Apr. 13. Finished the year ranked 14th nationally in singles by the ITA and No. 1 within the Central Region while ranking eighth in the Central Region in doubles.

Compiled a team-best 23-5 (19-4 in the spring) record playing at the No. 1 singles position, including a 4-4 mark against ranked opponents. Won conference titles at No. 1 singles and doubles for the second straight season, finishing the CCIW slate undefeated. Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Central Region Tournament in the fall before losing to eventual national champion John Watts of Wash U. Became the first Cardinal in school history to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships after finishing the regular season ranked third in the Central Region. Was a two-time CCIW Player of the Week, earning the honor on Mar. 17 and again on Mar. 31.

2009:
First Team All-Conference. CCIW Player of the Year. Compiled a team-best 21-2 record playing at the No. 1 singles position. Finished the season with 13 straight wins, climbing as high as 16th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Rankings. Finished 7-0 against CCIW opposition in singles play while compiling a 2-2 record against ranked opponents. In doubles, compiled a 17-6 mark, playing exclusively at the No. 1 position, posting a 4-1 mark against the CCIW during the dual season. Was a two-time CCIW Player of the week selection, earning the honor on Feb. 17 and Apr. 28. Academic All-CCIW Selection.
