Biography

2010: Achieved indoor season best of 17'4 1/2" in the pole vault, winning the indoor CCIW and NCAA Division III National Championships in the event for the second straight season. Was named USTFCCCA Indoor National Field Event Athlete of the Year and was voted Field Event Athlete of the Meet at the Division III Indoor Championships... Achieved outdoor season best of 18' 0 1/2" in the pole vault at the Chicagoland Championships, establishing a new school record in the event... Was named by The Bowerman Selection Committee to the "Others to Watch" list for collegiate track & field's premier award... Was the runner-up in the vault at the Drake Relays... Concluded collegiate career by winning the national title at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships, clearing 16'11". Academic All-CCIW selection and Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Award winner.

2009:
Won Division III indoor national pole vault championship and qualified for national championships outdoors...won CCIW indoor and outdoor pole vault crowns... established indoor school record with clearance of 18'0 1/2" at Private College Invitational... cleared outdoor personal best of 17'3 3/4" at Dr. Keeler Invitational... placed ninth at USATF Indoor National Championships... USTFCCCA Midwest Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.

2008:
Finished second in the pole vault at the CCIW Indoor Championships and was the Conference Champion at the Outdoor Championships... Was an All-American in the pole vault, finishing second at Indoor Nationals... Qualified for Outdoor Nationals as well...

2007: Competed for the University of Alabama where he recorded the team's best marks in the pole vault in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
