2015 Lake Forest Regional


North Central qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament as an at-large qualifier after finishing the regular season with a 31-5 record.  The Cardinals earned the No. 1 seed in the Lake Forest College Regional in Lake Forest, Ill.  North Central defeated Lake Forest College, 3-2 in their first game of the tournament on Thursday. The following day, North Central fell, 5-0, against Hope College (Mich.) in hopes to advance to the championship round. With their second chance to stay alive, the Cardinals took on Lake Forest again where they were down 2-1 with one out in the seventh and a runner on first before a rain delay postponed the game until the next day. When North Central started back up, Kiersten Tinkoff was able to hit a perfectly placed single to get on base, but that wasn't enough as North Central wasn't able to bring anyone around to home plate to tie the game and stay alive.
