How do I download the app? 
The North Central College Cardinals app can be downloaded from the App Store (for Apple/iOS devices) or Google Play (for Android devices).

Are there any features of the app that require a fee?
No. The app is completely free to download and use.

How do I customize what teams I follow?
When you open the app for the first time, you will be prompted to set up a profile, logging in either with your Facebook account or email address. You will then have the option to choose which sports you wish to follow. Simply tap the sport(s) you wish to follow.

What alerts do you receive when you follow a sport?
There are three automated alerts you can choose to receive for each sport - when a game starts, when a game ends (with the final score), and when a news item is posted. You can choose to opt in or out of any of these alerts at any time by tapping the bell icon on the right-hand side of your My Account screen.

What if I want to change the sports I follow?
Simply tap on the 'You' icon on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to go to your My Account screen. To unfollow a sport, tap the red 'x' next to that sport.

I am interested in receiving updates about a specific student-athlete. How can I get that information sent to me automatically? 
Go to that athlete's sport, then tap the 'Roster' tab at the bottom of the screen. Go to that athlete's roster profile and tap the 'Follow' tab at the bottom right-hand corner. You'll then receive updates when that athlete appears in news releases or other updates.

Will the app replace the text-message alert service I've been subscribing to?
Yes. The app retains the messaging function of that service while introducing a host of other features which make for an immersive experience for fans of Cardinal athletics. The app is also free for all users - some subscribers to the text-message service were subject to charges from their service providers.

Do I have to exit out of the app to visit northcentralcardinals.com?
No. You can tap the 'Athletics Website' tab in the navigation menu to access the website while still within the app. Each team's page also has links to its website page, season statistics and junior-varsity schedules (where applicable) by tapping the three red dots at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
