Ethan Greenfield '22 joins the North Central College coaching staff for the 2023 season as a coach of the Cardinals' running backs.
Greenfield completed a four-year playing career with North Central in 2022, leading the Cardinals to a second NCAA Division III National Championship and earning his second Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl Most Outstanding Player award. Greenfield led the nation in rushing yards (1,997) and rushing touchdowns (26), earning First Team All-America honors from D3football.com, the Associated Press and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). Greenfield was voted the winner of the Gagliardi Trophy, the premier individual award in Division III football.
Greenfield was Division III's leading rusher in 2021 (1,796 yards) and led the nation in rushing yards (2,169), all-purpose yards (2,580), touchdowns (32) and points (192) in 2019. He ranks fourth in Division III history in career rushing yards (6,679), and points scored (570) and 10th in all-purpose yards (7.681), each of which are North Central records.
After graduating from North Central in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in sport management, Greenfield is pursuing a master's degree in sports leadership.
