North Central College Cardinals

Greg Whalen '14 returned to North Central College prior to the 2017 season as the offensive line coach for the Cardinals' football program. He is also the program's academic coordinator.

Whalen had been employed at Aurora University, starting as a graduate assistant during the 2014 season before taking over as offensive line coach for the 2015 and 2016 campaigns.

  • NACC leaders in rushing yards per game
  • All five starting offensive linemen earned All-NACC recognition

North Central College

• 2017 CCIW leaders, fewest quarterback sacks allowed per game (1.17)
• 2017 CCIW leaders (conference play only), rushing yards per game (211.2) and total offensive per game (463.8)
• Four of five starting offensive linemen earned 2017 All-CCIW honors

• Native of Algonquin, Illinois
• Four-year letter winner and three-year starter at right tackle at North Central, 2010-2013
  • Two-time First Team All-CCIW selection
  • 2013 Second Team All-North Region selection
  • Team captain for 2013 national semifinalists
• Earned bachelor's degree in psychology from North Central (2014) and MBA degree from Aurora (2016)
