Mike Considine '75 joined the North Central College men's cross country and track and field coaching staffs prior to the 2018-2019 academic year as an assistant coach.
Considine spent a total of 16 years coaching at the nearby College of DuPage, where he became the winningest coach in the history of the Chaparrals' men's cross country program. He guided DuPage's teams to 10 consecutive National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Regional Championships and a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA National Championships, the highest ever for a college in Illinois.
Considine was a four-year member of the Cardinals' program from 1971-75. After graduation, he turned his competitive focus to marathons, placing as high as third in the Milwaukee Marathon and 31st in the Chicago Marathon.
