Bill Sanford joined the North Central College men’s lacrosse coaching staff during to the 2020-2021 academic year as an offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator coach.
Former head coach at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois from 2007-2018, Sanford compiled nine conference championships, seven IHSLA quarterfinal appearances and four IHSLA final four appearances.
Sanford won numerous coaching awards while at St. Viator including the Pat Mahoney Dedication to Coaching Award (‘18), Illinois High School Lacrosse Association Coach of the Year Award (‘11), and MSL/ESCC Conference Coach of the Year (‘12,’14,’15,’17, and ‘18).
During his tenure at St. Viator he coordinated a year-round program including strength and conditioning, college recruitment support, fundraising events and leadership development.
As a head coach, Sanford sent over 20 players to NCAA Division I, II, and III programs including seven former players that captained their college teams.
