Lloyd joined the North Central College swimming staff in 2009-2010, bringing a wealth of experience coaching at the high school, college, club and Olympic levels.

Prior to North Central, Lloyd was the interim head coach for the men's and women's swimming program at Lawrence University, earning 2008 Midwest Conference Women's Coach of the Year accolades after guiding the Vikings to a second place finish at the meet as three individuals claimed conference titles.

Lloyd has additional collegiate coaching experience working for his alma mater Millikin University (2006-2007) and the University of Michigan (2006). While an assistant at Michigan, Lloyd concurrently served as an assistant for Club Wolverine, an elite club team that featured six Olympians, including Michael Phelps, Peter Vanderkaay and Eric Vendt.

From 2004-2006 he served as the head boys and girls swim coach at Normal Community High School. Lloyd was the 2004 IHSA Girls Sectional Coach of the Year and guided the squad to an IHSA Sectional Championship in 2005.

As a collegian, Lloyd swam for Millikin, finishing his career as a five-time All-American and a three-time Academic All-American (2000-2002). He was a four-time team MVP and was the 2000 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Swimmer of the Year.
