Pond was hired as the Coordinator of Recreation, Assistant Athletic Facilities and Events Manager in the summer of 2010. In 2018, she was promoted to the position of Director of Campus Recreation. She also serves as the staff advisor for North Central's cheerleading and dance team programs.
Pond earned her bachelor's degree in recreation administration from Eastern Illinois University in 2009 and received her master's degree in sports management & administration in 2010. She previously served as a graduate assistant at her alma mater in the intramural sports department during the 2009-2010 school year.
Pond is also involved in an array of service projects at North Central, including leading trips abroad to Kenya and Germany, while also leading a service trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She also serves as the advisor of the Sport Management Association, a student organization comprised of 40 members, and is an active member of both the Illinois and National Intramural-Recreational Sports Associations.
Also the Cardinals' head women's tennis coach from 2015-2017, Pond was the recipient of the 2015 Harold R. Wilde Distinguished Service Award, given to an outstanding faculty or staff member each year for going 'above and beyond the call of duty' on campus.
Pond additionally has served as an intern for the Adaptive Sports Center in Butte, Colo. in 2008 and the Joliet-Bolingbrook Special Recreation Association in 2007.
