Ashley Wood joined the North Central College softball coaching staff in August of 2022 as a graduate assistant coach.
Wood played NCAA Division I softball at Southern Illinois University. She was named the Missouri Valley Freshman of the Year, an All-MVC player, and an All-Mideast Region selection. She also served as a student assistant coach following a season-ending injury in 2021. Wood helped coach the Illinois Sparks National Travel Softball team in 2020 as an assistant coach. While at SIU, she also was the lead intern for equipment operations.
A native of Orland Park, Wood graduated from Southern Illinois with a bachelor of science degree in sports administration. She is pursuing her MBA from North Central.
