Tracy Morris '01 Bywater joined the North Central College softball coaching staff prior to the 2019 season, returning to the program following a four-year career as a student-athlete from 1998-2001.
During her career at North Central, Bywater was named first team All-CCIW and first team All-Region, as well as earning NFCA Scholar Athlete honors. She was instrumental in the success of the 2001 team that went 45-11 and won both the CCIW and regional championships en route to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championship. Bywater was one of four players to play in all 56 games that season and currently ranks third in program history for both career sacrifices and putouts by a catcher.
Bywater graduated from North Central with a bachelor's degree in organizational communications and later earned her master's degree in teaching from Aurora University. She currently teaches middle school English and resides in Oswego, Ill. with her husband, Brad, and their twins, Landon and Teagan.
