Kurt Woodward

Kurt Woodward joined the North Central College coaching staff as an assistant coach for the women's triathlon program prior to the Cardinals' inaugural season in 2016. Prior to the 2020-2021 academic year, Woodward was named head coach of the men's swimming program and will oversee the launch of the men's triathlon team as a club sport beginning in the fall of 2021.

Woodward has been a competitive triathlete since 1998. He began coaching age-group triathletes in the early 2000’s. In 2015, he expanded his focus to include Draft Legal Triathlon, as he began working closely with a local USA Triathlon (USAT) High Performance Junior Elite Triathlon team. He continues to coach this team presently.

Additionally, Woodward has coached many camps and clinics for USA Triathlon at the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (OPTC) in Colorado Springs. These have included the USA Junior Men's Select Camp, the USAT U23 Select Camp and the Collegiate Recruitment Program Camp.

He owns a USAT Level I Triathlon Coaching Certification, as well as a USAT Youth Coaching certification and a certification from the National Federation of Personal Trainers.

Woodward resides in Naperville with his two children.
