Tyler Woodward M '20 joined the North Central College coaching staff in 2023 as the head coach of the Cardinals' women's triathlon program and assistant coach for North Central's men's and women's swimming programs. Woodward was a graduate assistant for the Cardinals' swimming teams from 2018-2020.
In his first two seasons leading the Cardinals, Woodward has guided North Central to two team national championship titles (2023, 2024). He has coached the Cardinals to nine All-American honors, nine all-region selections, and helped lead Hailey Poe to her third and fourth individual national titles.
Woodward is the head coach for the Multisport Madness Junior Elite Triathlon Team, the most successful junior elite program in the United States, while also launching and serving as head coach of his own coaching business, Woodward Endurance, and competing as a professional in USA Triathlon draft-legal races.
A Level I Certified Coach by USA Triathlon, Woodward assumes leadership of a North Central women's triathlon team which won its fourth USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship in five seasons last fall, narrowly edging out runner-up Trine University (Indiana) at November's national finals in Tempe, Arizona.
