Kristin Ison joined the North Central College coaching staff prior to the 2023-2024 season as an assistant coach for the Cardinals women's basketball program.
Ison comes to North Central from Lake Forest College where she spent two seasons as the assistant coach for the Foresters. She performed year-round recruiting efforts while managing administrative duties including travel plans, fundraising, and creating scouting reports. Ison has also coached at the AAU and high school levels.
In Ison's four-year playing career at Northwestern University in Evanston, she led the Big Ten and was 11th in the nation in single-season free throw percentage. She also ranks 12th all-time in games played (120) in a Wildcat jersey.
A native of Lake Forest, Ison earned her bachelor of arts in communications studies from Northwestern in 2010.
