Avery Smith joined the North Central College women's cross country coaching staff prior to the 2024 season as a graduate assistant coach.
Smith competed in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin for Illinois Wesleyan University track & field team. She is a six-time All-CCIW recipient and a three-time Academic All-CCIW honoree whle serving as a captain for the Titans. Smith worked for the Central Illinois Track Club in Bloomington as an assistant coach in 2023.
Smith graduated from Illinois Wesleyan with a bachelor's of science in kinesiology and allied health. She is pursuing her master's at North Central.
