Maddie Leer joined the North Central College women's lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2022-2023 academic year. 

Leer wrapped up a four-year playing career at Marietta College and was a captain in the 2022 season. At Marietta, Leer was named as an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) All Conference Honorable Mention in 2021, was named OAC Defensive Player of the Week twice in her career, was second in the OAC for ground balls in 2021, and had the most ground balls in a season. She still holds the record for number of saves in a season (148), which was tied for 6th in NCAA D3 in 2021. In her career at Marietta, Leer recorded 333 saves and 112 ground balls. 

At Marietta, Leer received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. 

Prior to Marietta, Leer was a three year member of the varsity team at Barrington High School and a conference champion in both 2017 and 2018. She was named All Conference in her senior season in 2018 and was inducted into Barrington’s Hall of Fame in 2018.


Leer has previously coached at IGLA, True Lacrosse, and New Wave.
