North Central College Cardinals

Kevin Markwell '78 joined the North Central men's and women's track and field coaching staffs ahead of the 2024-2025 season as the high jump coach.

Prior to North Central, Markwell spent 25 years coaching high jump, long jump and triple jump in the PLainfield School District. 

Markwell graduated from North Central in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. A four-year member of the Cardinal track program, Markwell was an All-American in the high jump event in 1975 while also competing in long jump and triple jump events.
