Emonte Logan

Emonte Logan joined the Cardinal Men’s and Women’s wrestling staffs during the 2021-2022 season. Logan competed for the Cardinals from 2015-2018, placing in the NCAA Regional Championships three times at 285 pounds. Logan was ranked among the top-10 nationally at his weight class multiple times during his career and twice made the finals of the CCIW Championships. He went 15-4 in the 285-pound weight class as a senior, winning an individual championship at the prestigious Wheaton College Pete Willson Invitational. 

A three-year letter winner and two-year starter at defensive tackle for the Cardinal football team, Logan was a two-time All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selection, earning Second Team honors in 2016 and First Team accolades in 2017. He also earned a spot on the D3football.com All-North Region Second Team as a senior. He currently coaches the Defensive Line on the Cardinal football staff – the team finished as NCAA Division III National Champions in 2019 and Runners-Up in 2021.

Logan wrestled at Oak Park River Forest High School where he was an All-State competitor and member of the 2014 IHSA State Championships team. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in sports leadership from North Central.
