North Central College Cardinals

Amanda Martinez joined the men’s and women’s wrestling staffs as a graduate assistant prior to the 2021-2022 season, before being named an assistant coach in the summer of 2022. She completed her collegiate career with the Cardinals as a two-time All-American, reaching the national finals and finishing as the runner-up at 130 pounds at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships in both 2020 and 2021. She graduated as the program’s all-time leader in career victories. In addition to her stellar career on the mat, Martinez also got the job done in the classroom as a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American.
 
Still actively competing at the senior level, Martinez represented the USA at 57kg at the 2021 U23 World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. She is a four-time USA Wrestling Senior National Team member, a seven-time USA Wrestling All-American, and a three-time U.S. Open Champion. She is currently ranked 2nd in the United States and 7th in the world at 57kg.
 
Martinez graduated from North Central in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Management.
