Brian Johnson '95/M '15 joined the North Central College athletic administration in August of 2022 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Community and Belonging

Johnson returns to North Central following time at the College of DuPage as a student-athlete enrichment coordinator. He also served as a regional ambassador for diversity, equity, and inclusion for the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association). Prior to his time with the Chaparrals, Johnson worked at Harper College as an academic advisor and admission specialist. He worked with North Central from 2013 to 2016 as a transfer admissions counselor and as a graduate assistant in multicultural affairs.

Johnson was the 1994 CCIW champion in the 400-meter hurdles and earned NCAA Division III All-America honors with a third-place finish at the 1995 outdoor championship. Johnson, a two-year starter at wide receiver for the Cardinals' football team, also earned All-America accolades with 4-by-400-meter relay teams which placed third indoors and sixth outdoors in 1994. Johnson's personal-best time of 52.32 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles ranks fourth-fastest in the North Central history.

Johnson earned his bachelor's degree in marketing in 1995 before coming back to campus to earn his master's of leadership studies in 2015.

Johnson and his wife, Montrine, live in Aurora and have four sons Jalen, Julian, Jonah, and Jacob.
