Jared Head joined the North Central men's and women's wrestling programs as an assistant coach for both teams in July of 2025.
Head comes to North Central after one season coaching at College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin school, Augustana College. At Augustana, Head helped the Vikings' men's team to a 10-4 record and a pair of fifth-place finishes at the conference and Lower Midwest Regional meets. The Augustana women's program was 4-5 on the season and finished third in the CCIW Championships.
Head was a four-year varsity letter winner at St. Cloud State in Minnesota before returning as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater. In his final season coaching the Huskies, Head helped lead the men's program to a 14-1 dual meet record in 2023-24. During the season, the team finished third at the NWCA National Duals, which included wins over two top 20 teams. The Huskies ended the year as Region V champions and earned a fifth-place standing at the NCAA Division II National Championships.
Head earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from St. Cloud State in May of 2023 and is currently working towards his master's degree in sports leadership at North Central.
