Joey Leto joined the North Central College men's and women's tennis programs as an assistant coach in August 2024 where he was later officially promoted to head coach of both programs before the 2026 academic year.Â
Leto served as the interim head coach for the men's and women's tennis teams early in the 2025-26 season, leading both teams to regular-season CCIW titles in the fall and spring terms respectively. Both programs finished undefeated in regular-season conference play, with the men's team finishing with an overall record of 15-8 (7-0), and the women's team finishing 14-9 (8-0). Both of Leto's teams advanced to the CCIW Tournament finals, both finishing as runners-up. At the culmination of his debut season in the head coaching position, Leto was awarded with both men's and women's CCIW Tennis Coaching Staff of the Year honors.Â
Leto serves as a tennis teaching professional at Naperville Tennis Club, where the Cardinals play a majority of their indoor matches. He has also worked as the head tennis teaching professional at Naper Carriage Hill Swim & Racquet Club. Leto worked in the high school ranks in 2012, 2013 and 2014 with Downers Grove South High School.
Collegiately, Leto played for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he finished his senior season 6-0 in singles play against Horizon League competition.Â
A native of Downer's Grove, Leto earned his bachelor's of economics from UW-Green Bay in 2016.
