Maria Fields joined the North Central College women's soccer coaching staff prior to the 2024 season as a graduate assistant coach. She will work primarily with Cardinal goalkeepers
Fields played college soccer in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin at Illinois Wesleyan University, where she was a goalkeeper. During her time with the Titans, Illinois Wesleyan won the 2019 CCIW Tournament Championship, securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, before winning the CCIW regular season title in 2021. Fields was a three-time Academic All-CCIW honoree and a 2021 CCIW RESPECT Award winner. She also served as a coach at Camp Shutout for six years, the largest goalkeeper camp in the world.Â
A native of Frankfort, Ill., Fields graduated from Illinois Wesleyan with a degree in neuroscience. She is pursuing her Master's of Business Administration at North Central.
