North Central College Cardinals

Nick Hird '07 has been a volunteer coach for the Cardinals' distance runners since the 2007-2008 academic year. While an athlete at North Central, Hird was a three-time All-American.

He took eighth at the 2006 NCAA III Cross Country Championships, finished fourth in the 5,000 meters at the 2006 NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships and placed sixth in the 10,000 meters at the 2004 NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

He was also a three-time conference champion. Hird won both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at the 2006 CCIW Outdoor Championships, and he was the 2004 CCIW Outdoor Champion in the 10,000 meters. He graduated from North Central with a degree in accounting.
