Rachel Balinao joined the North Central College Athletics Communication staff in August 2025 as a graduate assistant. She serves as the primary contact for men's and women's tennis, women's triathlon, women's basketball, and women's lacrosse. 

Balinao was a four-year member of the Western Illinois University women’s soccer team, competing in the Summit League before transitioning to the Ohio Valley Conference. She played both forward and center back for the Leathernecks and served as a team captain during her career.

A native of Oak Forest, Ill., she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Broadcasting and Journalism from Western Illinois in May 2025. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Leadership at North Central, with an expected graduation date of May 2027.
