Taiah Gallisath ‘20/M’23 was named the Associate Director of Athletics Communication in July 2025. She serves as the primary contact for the women’s soccer, cross country, track and field, women’s wrestling, and men’s lacrosse programs. 

Gallisath returned to North Central after two years at Illinois Wesleyan University where she led the communication efforts for eight programs. Gallisath and the IWU athletic communications team received the 2024 D3SIDA Region 4 Communicator(s) of the Year award. Later that year, Gallisath was honored as part of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 Under 30 Class of 2024, which recognizes rising professionals in strategic, creative, and digital communications in college sports.

Gallisath's career began at North Central in 2018 as a student assistant in the Sports Information Department. After earning her bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2020, she returned as a graduate assistant, where she was the primary contact for ten Cardinal athletic programs throughout her two-year assistantship. She covered multiple national championship titles and events for women’s triathlon, cross country, track and field, and led communications for the Cardinal men's volleyball team's first-ever berth in the national championship match in 2023. 

Gallisath has received national recognition for her writing by both D3SIDA (2023) and the CSC Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest (2025).

An active member of College Sports Communicators, Gallisath serves on the Academic All-America Committee, is a judge for the CSC Creative and Digital Design contest, and was a member of the 2024 CSC Inclusion Fellowship class.

A five-year member of North Central’s women’s track and field team, Gallisath was a three-year captain and an All-American in the high jump event. She received her master’s degree in sports leadership from NCC in 2023. 

Gallisath, a native of Machesney Park, Illinois, now resides in Oswego.
