North Central College Cardinals

North Central College junior women's track and field student-athlete Naomi Yamane has been named one of the College's two College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Award honorees for the 2018 spring season in recognition of outstanding performance in academics and athletics.

Yamane, an exercise science major, made her first national championship appearance this spring, placing 10th nationally in the hammer throw. She owned the Cardinals' top performances this season in the shot put, discus throw and hammer throw, placing fourth in each event at the CCIW Outdoor Championships.
