Williams and Parra earn CCIW All-Conference

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Feb. 29, 2008) - North Central College senior Barb Williams (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) and junior Brianne Parra (Justice, Ill./Argo) were both named to the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin All-Conference Team Friday. Williams was a first team selection while Parra was tabbed second team.

All-Conference Teams

Williams ranked fourth in the conference in scoring with 14.9 points per game. The 5-foot-11 forward was also ninth in the league in rebounding at 5.4 per game and her field goal percentage of .569 ranked her fourth. Her 15 total blocks placed her fifth. For the season, Williams played in all 25 games and led North Central with 14.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. It is the first all-conference honor for Williams.

Parra repeats as a CCIW All-Conference Second Team selection after averaging 13.2 points and 5.8 rebounds in 13 league games. The 5-foot-10 forward also ranked third in the CCIW in free-throw percentage (55 of 65, .846). For the season, Parra played in 19 games and averaged 13.5 points and 5.2 boards per game.
