North Central College's Brianne Parra and Meghan McGuire have been honored with selections to the 2009 All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Basketball Teams, as voted on by the CCIW's head coaches.

Parra was a First Team selection after finishing the regular season sixth in the conference in scoring, averaging 13.3 ppg. It is the second consecutive year the senior forward was named All-Conference; she earned Second Team honors during the 2007-08 season.

McGuire makes her first appearance on the All-Conference squad as a Third Team selection; finishing the regular season third in the CCIW in both field goal percentage (57.7) and blocks (24).

The CCIW Tournament begins today with the Cardinals taking on top-seeded and unbeaten Illinois Wesleyan University at 8 p.m. inside the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Ill. The winner advances to the Championship game on Saturday at 2 p.m. where they will face either Elmhurst College or Carthage College with the winner earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
