BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Oct. 9, 2010)-- The North Central College women's soccer team kept the nation's fourth-ranked squad scoreless through the opening 48 minutes of play before ultimately succumbing, 3-0, to Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match at Neis Field.

The two team's battled to a scoreless opening half as Cardinal goalkeeper Amy Frazzini turned away all three shots on target as the Titans (13-0, 2-0 CCIW) rifled off eight shots in the opening frame.

IWU's Molly O'Brien posted the game's opening goal in the 49th minute off an Emily Hinchman assist. Hinchman would feed Carlie Hoekstra in the 54th minute, pushing the Titan edge to 2-0 before scoring an ensurance goal in the 82nd minute off a Kristina Dolak assist to conclude the scoring.

Frazzini concluded the contest with four saves while Alli Novak and Zoie Samaan combined for the shutout for the Titans.

The Cardinals (5-6, 0-2 CCIW) return to the pitch on Wednesday, Oct. 13, facing Elmhurst College at 5 p.m.
