Oct. 30, 2026 – Closing out the final College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Week selections of the regular season, North Central College women's soccer midfielder Claire Georgees has been named the league's Offensive Player of the Week.

The Cardinals closed out their conference schedule with a pair of victories over Wheaton College (3-1) and Augustana College (3-0), securing an unbeaten 7-0-1 record in CCIW play. Wednesday's victory over Augustana capped off the regular season and followed North Central's win over Wheaton, which clinched the Cardinals' CCIW regular-season championship.

Georgees played a key role in securing the conference regular season title, scoring twice in North Central's 3-1 victory over Wheaton. She needed just two shots to find the back of the net on both attempts, marking the second multi-goal performance of her career and her first against a CCIW opponent. Despite playing two games compared to three for several of the league's other top performers, Georgees tied for the CCIW lead in goals scored during the week and ranked second in points.

The weekly honor marks the first of Georgees' career and the sixth for the Cardinals this season. Jordan Lange (Sept. 8) and Reese Anderson (Oct. 13 and Oct. 20) previously earned Offensive Player of the Week recognition, while Lauren Richards (Sept. 15) and Emma Megerle (Sept. 22) collected Defensive Player of the Week honors.

North Central earned the top seed in the CCIW Tournament and will host a semifinal matchup Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. The Cardinals will face the winner of Saturday's quarterfinal between No. 5 seed Carroll University and No. 4 seed Wheaton College.
