Oct. 20, 2026 – North Central College women's soccer junior forward Reese Anderson earned her second consecutive College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week nod after turning in a career week that helped the Cardinals secure their spot in the CCIW Tournament later this month.
 
Anderson picked up her first career weekly award a week ago, and with her selection this week, the Cardinals have totaled five player of the week honors this season.
 
The junior led the league this week with 8 points across two CCIW contests on three goals and a pair of assists -- the most goals in the CCIW and the second-most assists this week.
 
Anderson helped North Central to two conference wins last week, including a 4-1 win against North Park University on Wednesday and a 4-2 victory against Carthage College on Saturday. In the two matches, all five of her shot attempts were on frame. Anderson scored her first collegiate hat trick in the North Park win and added two assists against Carthage as she fed Claire Georgees and Gabrielle Mattio in the second half to extend the Cardinal lead to two.
 
With the wins, North Central is the last remaining unbeaten team in the CCIW with a conference record of 5-0-1 and is 12-0-1 on the season.
 
North Central will host Wheaton College Wednesday, Oct. 20 for its final regular season home match. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. under the lights of Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
