Nov. 16, 2010 - North Central College's Nathan Fitzenreider has been named the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Wrestler of the Week for the 2010-2011 season.

Fitzenreider earned the distinction after becoming one of two Cardinals to open the season with an individual tournament championship at the Knox College Invitational on Saturday. Fitzenreider won four straight matches, recording two pins, on the way to a first-place finish at 133 pounds.

Fitzenreider went 36-5 last season, winning the CCIW 133-pound championship and advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championships.

The Cardinals travel to Mequon, Wis., for the Concordia University Open on Saturday. Action is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
