Box Score

Nov. 30, 2010-- Jenny Swanson canned five three-pointers and chipped in a career-high 20 points as North Central College closed out its three game homestand at Gregory Arena with a dominating 71-52 victory over Robert Morris University-Springfield, leading wire-to-wire in the non-conference women's basketball game.

North Central (2-2) raced out to the early 7-0 lead, getting a three-point play from Terra Musgrove before Jackie Errico sunk a three-pointer and Christine Karl added a free throw. The Cardinals stymied the Eagle offense, as Robert Morris was unable to score from the field until seven minutes into the contest when Kailee Wyatt sunk a three to close the gap to six at 15-9.

The Cardinals continued to keep their foot on the gas, scoring the final nine points of the opening half, stretching an eight-point edge into a 17-point bulge at 38-21, shooting a red-hot 54.5 percent (six-for-11) from three point range and holding the Eagles to shooting just 21.4 percent (six-for-28) from the field.

North Central extended its lead to 35-points with 6:55 remaining in the second half before the Eagles mounted a 13-point run, capitalizing on six Cardinal turnovers to close the gap to 22 with 1:58 remaining before settling on the final 19-point margin.

The Cardinals finished the night shooting 49 percent (25-for-51) from the floor and 47.4 percent (nine-for-19) from three-point range, holding the Eagles to just 28.6 percent (16-for-56) from the field while also holding a commanding 46-28 edge on the glass.

Swanson came off the bench and paced all scorers with 20 points, shooting seven-for-10 from the field while going five-for-seven from beyond the arc. Yessenia Cabadas chipped in 11 points while Karl and Errico each tallied eight points apiece. Emily Collins grabbed a game-high seven rebounds while dishing out four assists while Kelsey Stone blocked three shots on the night.

Toni Johnson led the Eagles with 11 points, finishing the game as the only RMU player in double figures.

The Cardinals return to the hardwood on Saturday, December 4, hitting the road to face the University of Dubuque (Iowa) at 2 p.m. to begin the team's six-game road trip.
