Dec. 21, 2010 - North Central College's Andrew Zobac has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Wrestler of the Week for the week of Dec. 13-19.

Zobac received the award for the third consecutive week after a pair of impressive victories in the North Central Quadrangular on Saturday at Gregory Arena.

Zobac won a 4-3 decision over Cornell College's Kevin Donahue, a two-time NCAA Division III All-American and the seventh-ranked 141-pound wrestler in Division III this season. He then finished his day with a 15-8 victory over Heidelberg University's Ben Kieffer. Zobac is now 21-1 for the season.

Zobac finished with an overall record of 23-12 last season, winning the CCIW Championship at 141. He is 14-1 thus far this season and also won an individual title at the Knox College Invitational on Nov. 13. Zobac and teammates Nathan Fitzenreider and Billy Malone have helped North Central collect CCIW Wrestler of the Week honors each of the five times they have been awarded thus far this season.

The Cardinals are idle until the Midlands Championships at Northwestern University on Dec. 29-30.
