Nov. 23, 2010 - North Central College's Andrew Zobac has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Wrestler of the Week for the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5.

Zobac received the award after winning the 141-pound championship at the Indiana Little State Championships on Friday and Saturday.

Zobac, who was seeded second in the event, won four straight matches by decision en route to the title. He defeated top-seeded Matt Irwin of the University of Indianapolis, a two-time qualifier for the NCAA Division II national championships, by a score of 5-4 in the final.

Zobac finished with an overall record of 23-12 last season, winning the CCIW Championship at 141. He is 14-1 thus far this season and also won an individual title at the Knox College Invitational on Nov. 13. He becomes the third North Central wrestler to be selected as the CCIW's Wrestler of the Week, joining teammates Nathan Fitzenreider and Billy Malone.
