Oct. 31, 2011 - North Central College kicker
Nick Dace has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Special Teams Football Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 29.
Dace received the distinction after aiding in the Cardinals' 51-10 victory over Elmhurst College on Saturday. Dace connected on field goal attempts of 38, 33, and 37 yards to tie his own single-game school record and was a perfect 6 for 6 on extra-point attempts. He is now North Central's career leader in extra-point attempts made (89) and field goals made (23). Dace now ranks fourth in school history in career scoring with 158 points. He has the highest career point total of any North Central kicker.
North Central has now won the CCIW's Special Teams Player of the Week Award the past four weeks and six of the nine that have been handed out this season. Punter

The Cardinals now have a total of eight CCIW Player of the Week selections this season, as defensive ends
Willie Hayes and
Valente Garza have earned CCIW Defensive Player of the Week honors as well.
North Central hosts Wheaton in the 63rd annual Battle for the Little Brass Bell. The Cardinals will be looking to retain the traveling trophy for the fourth straight year.
