McMINNVILLE, Ore. (Mar. 21, 2011) -
Dominating from wire to wire for the second straight game, the North Central College women's lacrosse team opened its annual Spring Break trip by hammering Linfield College, 19-3, on the Wildcats' home field Monday.

The Cardinals (2-0) needed just 13 seconds to establish a lead and were never threatened, allowing just one goal in the first 42 minutes of play and scoring 13 unanswered goals during one stretch.

Danielle Fiala opened the scoring for North Central, and the Cardinals owned a 5-0 advantage before Linfield (1-3) got on the board with 13:49 left in the first half. The visitors responded to the Wildcats' score by posting five goals in a two-minute stretch, and a free-position goal by Amy Frazzini with just two seconds left in the first period gave the Cardinals a commanding 13-1 advantage at halftime.

North Central scored the first five goals of the second period and led, 18-1, before the Wildcats scored twice midway through the half.

Mallory Bahr finished with five goals and an assist to lead the Cardinals' scoring efforts, while Fiala scored four goals and Jacqui Morgan finished with three. Goalkeeper Sarah Hon finished with seven saves.

North Central travels to face Pacific University (Ore.) at noon Pacific time on Tuesday.
