CHICAGO, Ill. (Nov. 14, 2012) – The North Central College wrestling team was defeated at the hands of the University of Chicago, 34-7, Wednesday night in a non-conference dual match at the Ratner Center.
 
The Cardinals (0-2) jumped out to an early lead as Nick Santos defeated Gabe Martinez by major decision, 10-2 at 125 pounds, but the host Maroons would win the next eight matches to take a commanding 34-4 lead
 
At 285 pounds, Dylan Mahler secured a pair of takedowns in route to a 5-1 decision over Chicago's Jeff Tyburski.
 
North Central is back in action on Saturday, November 17, travelling to Mequon, Wis. for the Concordia University Wisconsin Open.  The first match is slated for 9 a.m.
