– For the second straight game, the North Central College women's basketball team eclipsed the one hundred-point mark in a 110-68 victory over Dominican University, Saturday afternoon inside Gregory Arena.

With the victory, the Cardinals (6-3) set the all-time single-game scoring record in program history, breaking the previous record set by the 1984-85 squad's 105-101 victory over Pittsburgh-Johnstown.

The two teams traded leads early, but the Cardinals opened up a 10-point lead at the 8:52 mark in the opening half at 25-15, as Kimberley Wilson sank one from beyond the arch, one of her trio of threes on the afternoon.

North Central's largest lead of the first half came right before halftime as Callie Rezin drove the length of the floor for the layup with just two seconds remaining, giving the hosts a 54-38 lead at the intermission.

In the second half, the Cardinal would go on a 20-2 run over the course of five minutes as a layup by Larynn Shumaker gave North Central a commanding 79-52 lead with 12:13 remaining.

The Cardinal defense forced 43 turnovers and nabbed 34 steals on the afternoon, while outrebounding the Stars (0-9), 61-44, including 30 offensive rebounds.  Michelle Todd led the Cardinals with eight steals in just 12 minutes of play.

Shumaker led the Cardinals with 16 points while grabbing 10 rebounds off the bench, her first career double-double.  Maryssa Cladis and Emily Murphy finished with 13 points each, while Callie Rezin and Kelsey Cooling also finished in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

North Central travels to Las Vegas, Nev. for the Las Vegas Hoopla, squaring off against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Thursday, Dec. 20 before facing Goucher College (Md.) on Friday, Dec. 21.
