Feb. 7, 2012-- North Central College wrestler Andrew Zobac was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 30- Feb. 6, receiving the award in consecutive weeks.

The senior, currently ranked fifth nationally at 141 pounds, made easy work of Jacob Smith with a decisive 20-5 victory by technical fall on Friday, Feb. 3 as the Cardinals played host to The University of Chicago, in their final dual meet of the season.

So far this season, Zobac has accumulated a record of 27-5, giving him 101 victories for his career and just four victories shy of cracking the all-time top ten list in career victories in North Central history.

North Central travels to Rock Island, Ill on Feb. 9 for the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Championships hosted by Augustana College.  The opening match is scheduled to begin at 5 pm.
